Commemorative Plates
There recently came into the possession of Topsham Museum two white earthenware plates both
8.25 inches (210mm.) in diameter stamped on the back by the manufacturers Bovey Pottery (Devon)
Ltd, "EiiR 1954" [Illustrations below] The insignia is blue. The plates would appear to be
commemorative and bear the insignia which indicates a possible association with the Admiralty.
Does anyone have any ideas please?
