I own a Monaco 36 called Lynnette - she is on the Classic Boat Register and was built in 1958 and has undergone extensive work including a wheelhouse in 1973 by Mashfords Boatyard in Plymouth which makes her an all-weather boat! Original owner was the Wilkinson Sword family and named Lynn after the wife who was unfortunately in a wheelchair but Lynnette's ample room allowed her to negotiate the large upper deck. Lynnette has recently been lifted out and is at Millbrook, Cornwall. Her hull is in good shape but she needs work doing to the topsides. Her engines are still running - just needs some new batteries and TLC! Unfortunately I am not in a position to restore her myself and so I am offering her for sale to anyone who may be interested - please contact me via this message board or on 01579 321646.

I would be delighted if someone has or would set up a Monaco fast cruiser web site. I would happily contribute any information I can lay my hands on to help, or even if someone could help me set up a site.
Regards from the original Monaco freak - my father built them.

i am interested in the Morgan Giles Monaco and have been looking to buy one to restore. There was one on the Thames named Oribi. It was at a boatyard just north of Hampton Court Palace. It was in poor shape and has since been moved. I think it would have been a 36. There is another which I know in Torquay. I think it is named Tulla but I may be wrong.
If anyone knows where Oribi went I would be interested to know.
Hope this helps, Mark jackson
