I first came into contact with Vic when we were five, according to Vic his mother said that we were the only ones with white shirts & wearing ties on our starting school.
The first two paintins purchased from him were on hardboard when he had a display at the Canvey Island Yacht Club around 1960, for the princely sum of £10 & £15. I now have 5 including one of them of a farmhouse on Canvey Island another a water colour there are meny more in my familly.
Sadly the last time that I met him I had commissioned a painting & when I collected it he asked if I could tell him who I was as his memory was going, as he had I think he said that it was a brain tumour, he died shortly after
