Port Isaac Lugger "Annie" PW41 circa 1898
From Paul Corin 29/3/2010
This Boat was given to the Exeter Museum , by it's owner Mr Jack Rowe of Port Isaac, when the Museum closed , Mr Rowe tried to find out it's whereabouts, also given with the boat were a collection of photographs. I am trying to find out if the boat still exists. The Luggers of Port Isaac are slightly different in design from other Cornish Boats. In the book Inshore craft of Britain by Basil Greenhill , there is nothing about these Luggers. In about 1975 , I took Eric McKee to measure up Mr Rowe's boat at the Fish Cellars at Port Gaverne.
Regards Paul Corin.
