Schooner 'Spray'
From Colin Vosper 17/5/2010

I am researching my great grandfather Capt Edward James Collings who could be the Stonehouse Mason recorded as 'James Collings' as master and part owner of the schooner 'The Spray'. He was raised to the third degree in the Brunswick Lodge 159 4th Aug 1880.
I have extensive info on his sea career on the Commerce and the Channel Queen and am trying to find what he might have been doing after he was aboard the Channel Queen when she was shipwrecked in 1898. Capt. Collings lived on in Plymouth until 1929 but I can find no record of what he did. Can you help? This link to the Spray could be a clue IF it is the same Collings!!
