A huge thank you
From Paul Barnett 13/5/2012
Dear SWMHS
The Friends of Purton and I would wish to whole heartedly thank the membership of the Society following its very generous donation to the Friends in recognition of our work here at Purton and Lydney. In return The Friends intend to honour your own contribution to Maritime Heritage by erecting an interpretation plaque to mark the last resting place of the Pricilla, whose scattered remains lie alongside the River Severn at Lydney.
Further and in keeping with existing plaques, it is intended to include details of sponsorship by the SWMHS and I would be keen to open up to the SWMHS membership the opportunity to pen a few words (5) which are reflective of the Society’ aims or indeed a nomination of a worthy SWMHS member (past or present) for inclusion on the plaques dedication.
Please forward all nominations and suggestions direct to me at Barnadillo@aol.com by July 1st 2012 and in doing, cement our society’s great love of all things nautica.
Yours sincerely
Paul Barnett
