It is with deep regret that we record the passing of SWMHS member Ralph Bird the foremost pilot gig builder of recent times having effectively defined the standard for modern pilot gigs as well as building 29 of them.
Ralph's funeral was on Tuesday 10th November 2009 in Truro cathedral. Ralph was conveyed there in the gig William Peters.
