Royal Jubilee Thames PageantYour Editor was with a million others on the riverbank. It was indeed an impressive sight, especially the massed rowed boats, led by the Bristol dragon boat, recreating the Canalleto image very effectively, and there was a great atmosphere in the crowd despite the dull weather. Prominent SW vessels included Kathleen and May, Matthew and Provident in the Parade of Sail, and in the pageant, Hereford Bull ( the new trow) ,and Pyronaut showing off. (see below). |
